The Bedale Wax Jacket, designed by Dame Margaret Barbour and first produced in 1980, was inspired by the practicality needed for horse-riding jackets hence the shorter length, relaxed fit, rear vents and Nylon drip strip ensuring any damp from riding didn't seep into the jacket.
Over time, the Bedale Wax Jacket has been embraced as both a "casual classic" for life in the city as well as a much appreciated countryside look.
The Slim Line version has been introduced in more recent years, designed to cut a modern heritage look for those that seek something new yet old.
