Our company is located in The Hague, Netherlands, which is a lovely, historical coastal city and also known as The International City of Peace and Justice.
It is the political capital of the Netherlands, the King lives here and it is the 2nd UN city in the world.

We also get a lot of rain here.
Due to the continuous changing of the climate worldwide, the weather we've been used to here has also made a heavy shift. Whereas it used to be very windy with the occasional heavy rain but mainly drizzle, in recent years it evolved more towards a place with frequent rain showers for longer periods of time throughout the year.
I personally don't mind rain but I do mind being poorly prepared for it.

You might be a bit familiar with our Brick-and-Mortar shop Store Du Nord, where we already offer a decent range of weatherproof brands. I started Store Du Nord in 2019 and over time it has evolved into a space with a curation of garments and special makers.
As I started to have specific ideas on catering to the changing climate and making sure you Stay Dry and stylish at the same time, I began working on this new project.
Much of my inspiration also comes from my nature trips, mainly in Norway, during the rainy season of the year. Dressing in weatherproof gear for those torrential downpours makes it all the more enjoyable.

With this new e-com platform, The Rain Room, it's my goal to create your go-to destination for highly functional, weatherproof gear. For any type of season, we'll be bringing you a selection of rainwear that'll tick all the boxes.
Not only that, we will also diversify the styles quite a bit whether you're into a more country lifestyle look or an urban hi-tech style.
